I am enrolled in Karen Russell's
The Photographer's Workshop which begins Jan. 19. Gosh, I feel lucky to be enrolled. She only takes 50 students at-a-time. When registration opened I was right here, ready! I missed the first time slot in the fall and got in the second slot. So, it's about to begin, my continued journey to take the kind of photos I want to take. I took Candice's class at Jessica's, but I didn't keep up by practicing. So, I need all the classes and practice I can get.
Karen seems the sweetest. I emailed her regarding buying another point and shoot and also, purchasing a additional SLR. The 40D I bought to replace the Rebel xi I had is heavy. I gave the xi to my son to take a lot of pics of the coming little one. So, I thought I should buy a Canon xsi and/or a new point and shoot. Karen quickly replied that I would get use to the weight-not too sure about that- and not to buy anything right now and that I would not be happy with a point and shoot. I have a point and shoot Sony Cybershot, but it's becoming aged; the telephoto button is stiff.
The following is my take on the framed photos Karen uses in her Workshop ad.
Off to take Jim to Miami University tomorrow for a referral visit; hope this is on the way to getting him well.
