Remodel or A New Blog Header

Created a new header; that was fun. I will have to call it the mega $ header. I think that is what I have spent on digi supplies lately! All to create a Valentine card for DH and a birthday card for him.

I will be glad when LOAD is over tom.

I just bought some items from PrimaHybrid.com; paid with Paypal and it is taking a long time to get "Processed" so that I can download; must be the west coast time difference. But, the really bad news, after I purchased, I received an email that tomorrow they are have a 25% off sale. Will not do me any good; I have purchased everything I wanted.

It's a gorgeous day! I love that little weather girl widget; I like to see what she is wearing each day!

Buying Digi Supplies

Buying digi supplies can be as bad as buying IRL supplies. I have purchased several kits and items the last couple of days. Have to get ACDSee up and running. I had it sorta organized once and became aggravated at my organizational system, so deleted it.

Here's a really quick LO I did yesterday while taking a break from eBay listing.

So, off to clean, errands and eBaying.

Trying to Get back on Track!

The one thing I have kept up is LOAD!

Last week it was off to Tampa to work the world's largest RV show. My GF with whom I taught for 16 years sold her home and bought an RV park in NC. She is really great at running that park; it is just like managing a group of kids! And, it too, like teaching is lots of hard work. The show was loud and crowded. I came home exhausted and didn't even stay the entire time.

I am tearing myself away from scrapping because I have to get my eBay business up and going again. I sell vintage motorcycle parts. I have ignored that since July!

I do want to post a couple of heritage LO's I did.

This one is my mom and dad. The stacked frames are from Authentic Artistry Blog. The paper from Weeds and Wildflowers, New Beginnings; calligraphy journal box, Mary Ann Wise Designer Digitals; and the swirls behind the stacked frames are Jofia Devoe Romantic Elements 3. Font P22 Cezanne and Century Gothic.

The only picture of which I am positive about the date is Mom's; it was done at a studio in Richmond, VA and is signed by the studio and dated 1939. It was Mom's graduation picture from the Medical College of Virginia Nursing School. I don't know the date of Dad's picture. The third picture which can barely be seen in the back is of Mom and Dad's wedding which was 1942.

This one is of Jim's (DH) mother. She had 8 children; that included one set of twins. This picture was taken when she was 16.

I absolutely love Jeanne's heritage LO's; that got me inspired! Thank you Jeanne!

O.K. off to eBay!!

Just checking in!

Well, back from working at the RV show in Tampa..., more next post on that. I am trying to get up to speed.

I have been keeping up with LOAD! Does anyone check to see who won daily?

Good/bad news tomorrow I am starting eBay up again. That's O.K.; just have to get this all together.

I've been TAGGED

Jeanne tagged me yesterday. I had seen on other's blogs that they had been tagged and had no idea what it meant. Well, now I am on the way to finding out.

Here's the way it works:

The rules of the game:
• Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
• Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog; we all want to know them.
• Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
• Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here goes...,

1. I love motorcycles, both vintage and new. I have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles on motorcycles. I love all the motorcycle related things, races, leathers, meets, road runs, etc.

2. I have been a member of Weight Watchers since May. I was down 10% and had 6 more to go to goal. Then I ate my way through December, so now I have 13 more to go to goal.

3. DH & I have lived in 17 houses and we are not military. This house we have lived in for 20 years. DH use to be a housing contractor so we lived in a lot of our spec. houses.

4. I do not like to read novels! I use to read probably a hundred books a year. But, reading has become too slow for me; I would rather use the computer.

5. I have one son, a step daughter, a step son, and my step daughter has a son; that's our grandson.

6. I am filled with wanderlust! I love to travel. Had I been a little older I am sure I would have been a hippie.

7. I love to be challenged and to learn. I almost cannot sit still, well, unless I am using the computer.

So, there we go....,

O.K., I too, am going to tag playmates from Jessica's playground. After all, if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have a blog!!

Day 10 LOAD or 1/3 of the way there!

This was a spot where we stopped while out on a ride from South Lake Tahoe, CA. This was a little ski village, Kirkwood, CA. Kirkwood is my middle name. I was named for my a great, great relative, Susan Kirkwood Summers. Regular fuel was $4.25 9/10 there and that was September! The grapes and the rose are pictures I took at a winery in the Shenandoah Valley. That was another coincidence, Shenandoah Valley, because there is a Shenandoah Valley in VA which is famous for apples.

The Shenandoah Valley reminded me of the early Napa Valley before it became so touristy.

LOAD Day 9

This IRL LO is a result of an Amber Skolnick class I did. This really brings back a lot of memories of how my mom tried to make my super straight hair curly.

Day 8 LOAD

This is my day 8 LOAD. The picture was taken in 1998!!!! This summer the pic. will be 10 years old! Geez! The LO is an IRL and there is a hand stitched and beaded frame all the way around.

This is one of the few IRL LO's that I have enjoyed doing. I began scrapping in Nov 06 and started with IRL. That didn't last long. I became fascinated with digi.

Between LOAD, this BLOG, Photoshop Fridays and life, I am getting behind on what I want the blog to be.

Oh, well, work in progress!

Have a great day. Do you need a weather report for South FL? Gorgeous!

LOAD Continued!

Moriginals Template No 012
Papers and flowers: Little Dreamer Designs: LS_ApronStrings2 and LS_InMyGarden
Font: Fling & signature font P22Ceaznne

O.K. so one way to do these credits is to use papers from the same kit/designer/shop!!

The sig. I created as a brush. There are a lot of tuts about creating one's sig. as a brush. Just Gooogle. Lots of variations how you might want your sig...., copyright, photography, etc.

WW weigh in- down 2. I was at 10% and then celebrated myself right away from that with a 9 lb gain. I figured out today that I still have 13 lbs to go to goal. That is half of what I have kept off so far. Exhausting, but about 75% committed again.

Tonight I fixed WW soup. Jim says he cannot stand the smell of all the onions and garlic, but then again says he could have eaten it for dinner! He's a great sport!! So easy going!

I have played around with a couple different size LO's. Well, doing the original in 12 X 12 PSD, then saving at 300, 8 X 8 so that I can print at home. I am printing on satin paper; looks good! Two LO's I have put on 12 X 12 card stock; I am hybrid + I am using some of the 1K sheets of 12 X 12 paper I have. I am going to check out an 8 X 8 album at Michaels. Just some things to play around with. I think I still like looking at my LO's in an album.

Happy Day!

Day 5 LOAD

I saw this template used on Jeanne's Creative Bliss Blog.

Using the template I had a hard time with the rounded edges and thought, "No, this is going to be way too time-consuming. I checked out my notes from the NWR class, but became frustrated when I couldn't find what I needed. I emailed Jeanne and she told me how to do the rounded corners, Contrl G in PSE.

Oh, still bad about keeping paper credits. A lot of them are from Jessica Sprague. Now, that's really official. Any ideas out there for, "How to efficiently keep a list of credits while scrapping."?

The template is from Moriginals.blogspot.com Template #5
Font: Fling
The cute sweetie pictured is my nephew's girlfriend's daughter. Her mother Liz in in one of my previous LOAD LO's.

I am enjoying LOAD. I need to do a few ahead especially since I am going out-of-town in a week. I will take my Laptop, so just need to do some to cover while I am away, save them on a CD and upload them each day I am gone. Yep, that should work IF I get some done ahead.

Off to WW weigh in.

Happy Friday!

Credits:LiveE simply Shutters plopper.
I cannot tell you how excited I am with the gorgeous plopper!

The pic. I took in June 2006. The pic. was taken while we were 4 wheelin near Cass Scenic Railroad State Park in WV. I added circa 06 to the bottom of the window. I didn't want to put 2006 because of the aged look of everything. The fence with the iris' was around an old farmhouse with shutters!

This is my Day 4 LO for LOAD!

Have a great Friday!

Shivering in South FL

We have the heat on! That is very unusual and only do so about once a year. Early yesterday the AC was on. We leave it on year-round. It was 33 this morning and I don't think right now it's more than 42. The wind is bitter!

I am doing the LOAD challenge at Big Picture Scrapbook so I did a QP. Yesterday I looked at Jeanne's Creative Bliss blog and found some great freebies listed in the credits for her gingerbread LO.

Sweet Son PSF 2007# 7

This is my result of the current challenge on the Jessica Sprague General Forum PSF 2007 #7. I didn't intend to post this LO anywhere, so I didn't keep a list of the credits; oh, lesson learned. I was going back and try to find everything, but decided I could use the time more productively???

Happy New Year

LO with all Designer Digitals Freebies.

Do you have any New Year's Day Traditions? When I was growing up, we ate cabbage on New Year's Day. There was a silver dollar hidden in the cabbage and whoever found it would have good luck in the New Year. Now, living in the South, the tradition is to eat Black-eyed peas. So, I am going to cover traditions with both cabbage and black-eyed peas.
