Project 365

So, far good with Project 365. Well, that is my grade on it. I have the first two week completed. The first two pages have already been posted. I will do the title page over and hope to do the first page of photos over.

Here are the pages from the second week.

Weeds and Wildflowers 365 Kit. Ali's Hand Font.

The 3rd. week I am doing IRL so I will have to take a picture of the pages.

On a personal note, we will be continuing to try to find out what is wrong with Jim. Hope we can get answers this week.

Odds and Ends

I am enrolled in Karen Russell's The Photographer's Workshop which begins Jan. 19. Gosh, I feel lucky to be enrolled. She only takes 50 students at-a-time. When registration opened I was right here, ready! I missed the first time slot in the fall and got in the second slot. So, it's about to begin, my continued journey to take the kind of photos I want to take. I took Candice's class at Jessica's, but I didn't keep up by practicing. So, I need all the classes and practice I can get.

Karen seems the sweetest. I emailed her  regarding buying another point and shoot and also, purchasing a additional SLR. The 40D I bought to replace the Rebel xi I had is heavy.  I gave the xi to my son to take a lot of pics of the coming little one.  So, I thought I should buy a Canon xsi and/or a new point and shoot. Karen quickly replied that I would get use to the weight-not too sure about that- and not to buy anything right now and that I would not be happy with a point and shoot.  I have a point and shoot Sony Cybershot, but it's becoming aged; the telephoto button is stiff.

I love Karen's blog.

The following is my take on the framed photos Karen uses in her Workshop ad.

I used Kimi Kreations deckled frame, MLC Parker's Stocking Papers, French Laundry Photo Edges, Vol. 2 from 2 Peas, SMJ_Beloved_Buttons.

Off to take Jim to Miami University tomorrow for a referral visit; hope this is on the way to getting him well.

Here's a reminder what the kit looks like.

Happy New Year

2009 Already! Who remembers all the hype over 2000?

I really need to redecorate the blog and do away with the Christmas theme. I do like it though.

First, I want to post a LO from Design Your Life. The class is over and I am behind, but the class material is timeless. The DYL LO is "Meant to Be".

Next, I am taking part is Project 365. I have completed the first week. Well, there were only 3 pictures this week since the 1st was on Thursday. I'm beginning each new week on Sunday. I still haven't decided exactly how I am going to handle the pictures. I would like to print all the LO's or photos. Still deciding.

Have a great week!
